Peggy Huynh Kinh was trained in interior architecture and design at the Met workshop at Penninghen in Paris, and chose to express herself through fashion.

Madame Met appreciated her talent and gave her the opportunity to join the TORRENTE couture and ready-to-wear studio.

After being ready-to-wear artistic director with Madame Grès, then within the Maison PIERRE BALMAIN, for ready-to-wear as well as women and home accessory licences, Bernard Arnault appointed her artistic director for CELINE in order to modernise the brand and launch seasonal collections of accesories. She created leathergoods accessories and jewellery for PATOU, CARTIER, DUNHILL, MUGLER, ZEGNA, SWAROVSKI, ELIE SAAB, LACOSTE and other prestigious houses.

She created her own label in 1996. Far from a world of acceleration that only works on the obsolete, the designer, fan of « less is more », refocused on her values, an essential, pragmatic and timeless luxury.

As a visionary, she launched a new bag aesthetic identifiable by its reeinvented shapes and finishes.

Her bags are conceived as a design object, elaborated with precise specifications, small pure architecture pieces. They are carved to cross the years serenely, ennobled with materials – lambskin, soft calfskin, glazed calfskin, wild boar, boxcalf, exotic skins etc. -, and with accurate proportions as well as discreet, elitist details, signatures of luxury and know-how.

Requiring the same quality and formal balance, small leather goods, office accessories, 925 silver jewellery, semi-precious stones and scarves completed the range.

Her creations have met with great success and were distributed in New-York by Barney’s, in Hong Kong by Joyce, in Tokyo by Tomorrowland and by Le Bon Marché and Le Printemps in Paris, as well as in a selection of high-end boutiques.

In1997,afirststorewasopenedonrueFrançois1er inParis.

As a logical continuation for Peggy Hunyh Kinh, who designs her creations without strongly gendering them, a men’s line was born in 1999, derived from women’s and boasting the House codes.

In 2000, she crossed the Seine to nestle rue Coëtlogon with its peaceful charm and left bank cultural resonances.

In 2002, she expanded her boutique on rue Coëtlogon, in which she created a space dedicated to men.

In 2005, in association with a manufacturer of excellence at the cutting edge of technology, she attempted a new experimental adventure. She opened a third boutique adjoining the other two in order to host women’s made-to-measure and offer – being faithful to her convinctions – a core line of essentials, perfectly tailored clothing with neat finishes, that are long-lasting.

The designer’s philosophy still and always defies time and claims « the eternity of the present », where all is luxury, calm and voluptuousness…

As a pionneer of androgyny, her « essentials » that are anchored in a minimalist and efficient design, in the nobility of beautiful materials, whether timeless or rebellious, bring together the traditions of the craft.
